Take a look at this jaw-dropping BMW XM, featuring a unique masterpiece of art on its bodywork... This is Mauritius's first "Art Car".
This is what was in store when a leading brand BMW teamed up with Galeries Adamah Fine Arts to create a sparkling evening at Azuri on 30 November. The event was spectacular. It was the launch of the Radisson Blu Azuri Resort & Spa's eclectic new gallery.
Everyone at the show was thrilled when international artist Cédric Bouteiller used the new BMW XM as a blank canvas, unleashing his imagination to create a unique and singular work of art.
Artistic masterpieces on wheels
For almost half a century, BMW has been committed to working alongside artists. The Art Cars concept, launched in 1975, has enabled internationally renowned artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein and Jeff Koons to express their creativity by decorating the car's bodywork.
Some 19 artistic masterpieces on wheels will bear eloquent witness to the history of the automobile, art and design. All these creations are on display at the BMW Museum in Munich and in various international museums.
Galeries Adamah Fine Arts was created with the idea of being able to exhibit and offer a wide selection of quality international contemporary artists in Mauritius.
Cédric Bouteiller's ultra-modern works include compositions of digital photographs on brushed aluminium, enhanced by collages.
