A culinary pastry chefs’ journey baked to perfection

Sunlife's top pastry chefs had an aspirational dream of taking their craft to new heights. Who else than Aurélien Le Mouillour, crowned Meilleur Ouvrier de France (MOF) 2023 could transform this dream into reality?

Indeed, from 2 to 6 October, this gifted master baker ran a bakery and Danish pastry workshop for the Sunlife teams at La Pirogue hotel. Hailing from the Institut National de la Boulangerie-Pâtisserie, Aurélien Le Mouillour has obtained the accolade of  Meilleur Ouvrier de France in bakery this year. 

He has imparted  his knowledge to 16 pastry chefs from the Sunlife group and Ile aux Cerfs. These chefs also learned how to master new techniques in baking and Danish pastries as well as evolving new recipes. 

The workshop took place in an ambience of good humour where constructive interactions were the main ingredients that made the secret recipe of this workshop, masterly concocted by Aurélien Le Mouillour, a success.

 "This bakery and Danish pastry training course is a first for our teams. Hosting a MOF allows us to benefit from his expertise and professional techniques to enhance our skills. The new recipes learnt will be available for the festive period in all our resorts this year," says Sandy Scioli, Corporate Pastry Chef at Sunlife.
