Alexandre's shots capture so much more than just photography, they are an artistic experience from above. He immortalises the island's majestic panoramas, idyllic coastlines and cultural relics infused with history using his amazing skill. His vision brings to life a spectacular display, highlighting the complexity of the topography and the island's pristine natural beauty in a way that had never been seen before.

Alexandre Lassémillante completed his film studies in Europe and New York, but his passion for photography prevailed. Upon his return to Mauritius, he set out to capture the ocean in a vision he had been dreaming of, but never succeeded. Drones were not yet available to the public at that time, but fate had other plans. “With the introduction of the drone, I was finally able to capture what was in my head for such a long time,” says the Mauritian photographer.

“Mauritius from the sky” is more than just an exhibition. It is an invitation to an extraordinary photographic voyage, a dive into the aerial splendour of Mauritius, a glimpse into details that are often forgotten. “Aerial photography is a way of uncovering hidden beauty all around us, in even the most familiar places. Mauritius from the sky is an ode to the hidden glory that inhabits our island paradise”, says the artist.

A spellbinding adventure is waiting for you at Sugar Beach, Flic en Flac.
